Now fully NATO stock coded and in use on all UK Royal Navy surface ships and submarines, the Cromwell Echo was originally developed for the Royal Navy, after they had established a requirement for a fire helmet with integral radio, that would provide excellent communications in the very difficult conditions that apply during fire and damage control operations onboard ship.
In addition the Cromwell Echo can be used in difficult communication environments such as tunnels, or when wearing gas-tight /chemical protective suits.
