Oil Giant Selects Pureflo Air Fed Respirator
Norwegian oil giant Statoil have selected the new Pureflo PF31 ABS (Airline Breathing System) lightweight helmet respirator, manufactured by Helmet Integrated Systems Ltd (HISL). The units will be used for a wide range of maintenance duties and were selected due to their lightweight and unique operator friendly design.
The PF31 ABS combines a Hard Hat, Face Shield and Compressed Air Respiratory Protection in one convenient helmet mounted unit with each element carrying Type Approvals to the latest European Standards. Safety is further enhanced by the use of Double Acting Quick Release Compressed Air Connections.
Barry Vincent, HISL's Business Manager for Respiratory Products, commented:
“The users love them because they are so convenient to use and avoid the need for Face Fit Testing required by Full and Half Masks. Every user enjoys the same high level of protection irrespective of face shape, the use of corrective spectacles, beards or even a couple of days growth of stubble!”

- Tank & Bilge Cleaning
- Working in Bunds or Pits
- High Pressure Airless Spraying
- Welding where oxygen may be deficient
- Plus any application where Hard Hats & Compressed Air Fed
Respiratory protection is mandatory
