Purelite Xstream Joins Our Respiratory Range
The Purelite Xstream is a new lightweight head mounted powered air purifying respirator (PAPR), which provides respiratory protection against solid aerosols / particulates, and incorporates a polycarbonate faceshield to provide eye and face protection from impact and liquid splash.
Weighing a nominal 1kg, the Xstream Powered Repsirator is the latest addition to our Pureflo/Purelite range of respiratory protection equipment and features twin TH2P filters, with a rechargeable 8 hour battery pack located inside the helmet shell.
The reusable respirator has an assigned protection factor of 20 (APF 20), and the fan motor and filters deliver an airflow of 210 l/min, which is maintained at a minimum of 150 l/min when the battery duration is becoming exhausted. An airflow tester is provided for pre-use checking that the air flow is correct, and an audible warning device is fitted to indicate that the battery requires re-charge or replacement.
An extensive range of applications includes woodworking, pottery, craft design and technology, fitting and application of insulation material, horticulture and agriculture, food preparation and processing. The Purelite Xstream is the affordable alternative to face masks or disposable respiratory protection for many industries.
The Purelite Xstream is certificated to both BSEN 12491: 1999 powered filtering devices class TH2P, for use against solid particulates, BS EN 166:2002 personal eye protection, Class 1B3, and to AS/NZ 1716: 2003 respiratory protection, AS/NZ 1337: 1992 eye protection.
